Projects
Below are the projects that I have worked on. Feel free to explore!
Safe Haven
Application Developer
Developed an application called Safe Haven that helps natural disaster victims find shelter and safety in times of need. The application serves as a platform to connect disaster victims with crowdsourced volunteers who opened their homes in times of natural disaster. Incorporated Web APIs, Google Firebase, and Airtable Cloud Collaboration to develop the app. Worked with teammates to develop a business plan for the application. Presented and placed 1st in the regional competition and advanced to the global semifinals for Technovation Global App Challenge. Won Congressional App Challenge in 7th District for application as well. In progress of deployment.

KWF Artificial Intelligence Intern
Artificial Intelligence Intern and Project Lead
Worked on two projects to aid with wildlife conservation. For the first project, I helped develop accurate models to detect forest fires to help mitigate the effects of the disaster by catching the fires early. For the second project, I worked on developing a model to identify sea turtle tracks to prevent removal of the turtle eggs before hatching. For these projects, I used Google Virtual Machine, TensorFlow, and YOLO (You Only Look Once) Object Detection software and obtained about an 87% efficiency of each model. Also, I had the chance to train 15 university students from different schools such as CMU, MIT, Stanford, and UPenn to work with data labeling and YOLO software. Along with a lecture, I wrote a comprehensive guide on labeling datasets and training on neural network using Google VM for future interns to use. With this experience, I have been able to build key software skills as well as learned how to lead a project and deploy my knowledge to my team members.
